Monica Marinescu

Co-I

Dr Monica Marinescu is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, where she leads work on physics-based Li-ion battery modelling, including understanding of coupled battery degradation, as well as on distributed thermally coupled equivalent circuit models for cell and pack design and control.

Prof Gregory J Offer

Gregory Offer

Co-I

Professor Gregory Offer is the PI of the MSM project. Professor of Electrochemical Engineering at Imperial College London his research spans the interface between the science of how batteries work and the engineering of how to design the best products around them.

Irma Houmadi

Associated PhD

Irma is an associated PhD student at the University of Birmingham, looking at developing novel sensing methodologies to monitor battery performance, degradation, and safety. She is jointly supervised by Professor Emma Kendrick and Professor Gerard Fernando.

Mehrdad Babazadeh

Research Associate

Dr Mehrdad Babazadeh is a research fellow at the WMG University of Warwick, where he works with Dr. Dhammika Widanalage on Grey-box modelling of Li-ion batteries. The main focus of the work is on the modelling in low temperature, high Charge/Discharge status.

Luhan Sun

Research Associate

Dr Luhan Sun is a research associate at the University of Oxford, where she works with Prof. Charles Monroe in electrolytes for lithium-ion battery.  Her work centers on establishing the composition and temperature dependences of cosolvent electrolyte properties, with focus on elucidating affects associated with relative motion of the solvents as well as poorly understood […]
