Josh is a PhD student in the School of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Portsmouth. He works with Prof. Jamie Foster, Dr. Emir Gumrukcuoglu, and Dr. James Burridge on physics-based modelling of Li-ion batteries, parameter inference, and the development of machine learning surrogates.

Dr Ferran Brosa Planella is an Assistant Professor at the Mathematics Institute of the University of Warwick. His work focuses on derivation, reduction, and parameterisation of physics-based models for lithium-ion batteries. He is part of PyBaMM’s core team.
